Lubavitcher Rebbe on the connection between Chanukkah and Thanksgiving



Some 25 years before the two holidays were to fall on the same day, the Lubavitcher Rebbe explains the connection between the American holiday of Thanksgiving and the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah.

Both represent the story of people who fought religious persecution and being thankful to G-d for being able to express their spirituality freely.
